MICHAELA + GED // A CHESHIRE TIPI WEDDING
I have never seen so much laughter at a wedding.. Ged & Michaela's day was non stop, from giggles to howling!
I met the girls at Michaela and Ged's home in Nantwich where they were getting ready, and had been since 5am! The morning was a whirlwind of excitement, people coming and going; including two of the groomsmen who came to deliver a special gift to Michaela from her husband to be. A sweet little golden snitch bracelet and video message caused teary eyes all round! <3
The girls helped Michaela into her stunning princess dress before she headed out in the waiting Rolls Royce to St Mary Church in Nantwich. The church is absolutely stunning inside, with an enormous stained glass window making the perfect backdrop.
Their wedding reception followed at Ged's parents farm in Nantwich where a fab All About Me tipi had been set up in the field. Michaela explained they'd chosen long tables to seat everyone at like the Great Hall in Harry Potter, and the table names were also from the books. Their guests enjoyed a wheelbarrow of prosecco while we sneaked off for some couple portraits.
Ged is one part of band Beardsmith so it made sense there would be some entertainment on the day, maybe a bit of singing. What actually happened was the band belting out hymns in church, hilarious speeches from the guys, including a speech/toast/performance from a friend/toastmaster/not-best-man who actually re-wrote and performed a whole song dedicated to the newlyweds and the best man who cracked out some embarrassingly hilarious old pictures of the groom followed by an evening of singing from friends until the band arrived. The whole tipi was in stitches all afternoon and even I struggled to compose myself! It was such a fantastic day and I left on such a high.. I'm so excited to see everyone again when I shoot Ged's sisters wedding in September!
A million congratulations to Mr & Mrs Beardsmith! x
