A summer wedding at Delamere Events
Updated: Jan 23, 2020
Oh my gosh.. this whole day was just beautifulllll!! THAT dress (details below!), the shoes - Jess wore her mums wedding shoes that had been safely tucked away in storage until now! the flowers, the venue, did I mention the dress already?!
Jess and the girls got ready at her parents house, where her mum had cleared out a gorgeous light and airy room for Jess to get into her dress that worked perfectly for photographing the little details too, and with the exception of The Case Of The Missing Suit Trousers (!!!) the morning was filled with excitement! One of Jess' bridesmaids is a professional makeup artist ( Claire Quick Make Up Artist ) so she was able to do some gorgeous bridal make up for her friend!
The wedding took place at St Mary's Church in Broughton, with special guests The Chester Male Voice Choir and was a sweet ceremony filled with love, and a little bit of excitement from the children ;) Jess & Andy's son Jax even joined them to kneel at the Altar.
I haven't worked at Delamere Events Ltd / Cherry Orchard Lake before, so was unsure of what to expect but when I arrived there after the ceremony.. wow, the place is breathtaking! Jess & Andy had a tipi set up at the side of an enormous lake, and the weather was absolutely perfect for such an outdoorsy reception.
It was actually so super sunny that we decided to wait to do Jess & Andy's couple portraits until after dinner, once the sun was a little lower, and how perfectly it turned out! Ryan who heads up Delamere Events Ltd had already had a little chat with us about where we were allowed to go, that is, he encouraged us to go anywhere we like... yay! And Jess & Andy were totally up for doing a lap of the lake in order to get some lovely pictures. We couldn't have chosen a better time and the sun came down beautifully as we walked giving a gorgeous golden glow. We could even hear the wedding singer as we walked <3
Their guests enjoyed toasted marshmallows.. YUM! however the marshmallows eventually led to a game of chubby bunnies between grown men!!
Later in the evening as the sun went down completely the little festoon lights up the hill came on, and I asked Jess & Andy if I could steal them away for a couple of minutes which they were more than happy to do! What a beautiful end to a perfect day <3
