An intimate Cheshire village wedding in Great Budworth
Updated: Feb 28, 2020
When Willow got in touch with me earlier in the year I knew immediately that this was going to be a special day. Willow explained that her & Jack's cottage was not only next door to the Church they were to be married in, but also the venue they would have their reception in afterwards and that they were hoping to take their wedding portraits in the village and roads surrounding their home in Great Budworth, Cheshire!
I arrived early the morning of the wedding to give myself some time to have a little nosy around and pick out some nice spots for us to use but I really needn't have. It was literally steps between gorgeousness! I could stand outside the church and turn around to see all 3 locations the whole wedding day would be, it was almost as if they'd hired their own private village for the day!
Willow, her mum and bridesmaids were getting ready in the cottage while Jack was chatting with guests arriving over the road before everyone headed into the church for their seats. The bride and her party waited for everyone to be inside before stepping out onto the cobbled lane and over to the church, waved on by lots of excited locals!
The ceremony was beautiful and the church is absolutely stunning, and with such lovely light too! After signing the register the newly weds and their guests grabbed some waiting glasses of prosecco and headed outside for celebrations. The reception took place at The George & Dragon pub, who don't normally do weddings, however had made an exception for their neighbours :) While the guests enjoyed drinks in the autumn sunshine Willow, Jack & I went for a wander round the village for their portraits where they were able to have photographs literally on their own doorstep!
Absolutely fab wedding and wonderful to see their lovely little corner of the world in Great Budworth! <3
