A freezing pre-wedding shoot in the snow at Heaton Park, Manchester
Updated: Jan 23, 2020
If you saw my Instagram stories this weekend you'll have seen I was out with Emily & Phil at Heaton Park for their pre-wedding shoot ahead of their Wrenbury Hall wedding over the Easter weekend.. and you'll also have seen that I stepped out of the car into a blizzard - it was sooo windy! There should be a video here.. depending on whether my website skills are any good!
I love heading out to new places to shoot and when I realised Heaton Park was in the middle of us I thought it would be a great location to shoot at.. I just hadn't accounted for the weather!! I dived back in the car & made a quick call to Emily. We agreed to meet across the park with the hopes of a little bit of shelter! Thankfully on the other side of the hill things weren't so crazy, though still bitterly cold! We walked into the park & talked wedding plans - Wrenbury Hall is where Matty & I had our wedding and its alway's lovely to chat about the venue! Emily & Phil couldn't stop thinking about Wrenbury after they visited & that's exactly how we felt about it!
It was actually really lovely to get out in the snow (after it stopped blasting in my face!), there were so many families out together sledging, it really brought everyone together! We decide not to head too far away from the carpark but still managed to get some gorgeous shots on our little wander! By the time we headed back I could barely feel my hands or my legs but it was absolutely worth it! Cant wait to see Emily & Phil again in a couple of weeks! <3
