I drove down the M6 on the morning of Rachel & Phil's West Tower Wedding in absolutely torrential rain.. my windscreen wipers were on the fastest setting and I spent the journey getting a rain plan together in my head.. feeling fortunate I'd got a 10 emergency umbrellas in the boot! By the time I arrived to the girls getting ready in the bridal suite the rain had eased off, and by the afternoon we were actually battling against super bright sunshine instead! (no one wants to be squinting in the sun in their wedding photographs!! )
The West Tower is a romantic hideaway amidst rolling Lancashire countryside and dedicated entirely to weddings. West Tower was built as a family home in 1885, and now offers the option to choose your ceremony space in their many gorgeous rooms.
The girls were getting ready in West Tower's bridal suite when I arrived and everyone seemed excited after what sounded like a particularly stressful week - Rachel only bought her wedding dress a few days prior to the wedding...!!! but everything had come together wonderfully and their scheme and flowers looked stunning as I nipped down to the ceremony room for a peek while the florist was adding the finishing touches to his fantastic work!
The ceremony was lovely and the rooms in West Tower are so light and airy and it makes for beautiful pictures!
The gorgeous weather continued for the rest of the day and we managed to make use of all of the little areas around West Towers grounds for Rachel and Phil's wedding portraits.. how fab is the crop field right Nextdoor!
West Towers wedding breakfast room is stunning and the venue dressing was fab.. so pretty!
After such a wet start to the day the sun went down beautifully over the wedding guests having a sunset kickabout before a good old knees up to fab music to finish off a fantastic wedding!
Many congratulations to Rachel & Phil <3
