A romantic spring wedding at the Yellow Broom, Cheshire

May 25, 2019

Cat & Kim's beautiful Yellow Broom wedding was an absolute pleasure to photograph back in March. I first met Cat at a friends hen party (where we got to drink and learn a full S Club 7 dance routine, Cat was amazing, I was terrible!) I was so excited when she got in touch afterwards to ask if I'd shoot her & partner Kim's wedding! Cat runs The Little Cat Company and I knew that meant that the day would be full of gorgeous touches, everything has so much thought put into it!

I photographed the girls getting ready at Cat's parent's home in Sandbach, Cheshire, before she headed over to the Yellow Broom in their vintage VW camper van to a waiting Kim. The ceremony was beautiful, with lots of tears and even more laughter.. we headed out into the spring sunshine for drinks and canapés before taking a little trip over to Cranage Estate for some extra photo opportunities!

Cat & Kim had told me they'd like to head out to the viaduct at Twemlow, opposite the Yellow Broom venue for some photographs so we decided we'd head out after dinner. I kept an eye on the sun situation during the meal but needn't have worried as Cat & Kim ran out to say they'd put their deserts on hold so we could catch the golden hour, my absolute fave time of day!

It was such a joy to get to spend the day with this amazing couple and their wonderful guests! These are some of my faves! <3

'We feel so lucky to have been able to have Sarah as our photographer for our wedding. Having followed Sarah's business from the beginning I always knew I would want her to be part of our big day. Right from the start of our booking nothing was too much trouble and she helped with advice and put us both at ease at our engagement shoot. My other half was away for four months before the wedding and she managed to fit us in at short notice before he went which we are so grateful for. On the day Sarah just blended in and captured such special moments. Everyone commented on how they hardly noticed she was there (in a good way) but also how friendly she is.Sarah is so professional and goes above and beyond, even balancing on a narrow bridge over water to get some perfect shots. You can tell how passionate Sarah is. One of my favourite moments of the day was sneaking out during sunset with Sarah to get some pictures at what she calls golden hour. Me and my husband were so happy (I felt like I was buzzing... Not a word I would usually use) and we could tell Sarah was too. Such great memories. We would highly recommend Sarah. She is so talented and we cannot thank her enough for the photos she has sent us. They bring back all of the special memories and are something we will cherish forever. We also love that she has written a blog on us, everyone has said it looks magazine perfect and truly captures the joy that our day was.Thank you thank you thank you ❤️Mr & Mrs P xx'
